Remarks:

 Fire is 50% contained this evening.

Significant interior burning and heat. 

Firefighters will be improving and reinforcing the fireline tonight and tomorrow.

Breezy conditions continue over the fire area, which is a concern.

Snags and Hazard Trees near the fire perimeter are being allowed to burn up, or are cut down and bucked up.  Helicopter bucket work is assisting with  hazard trees.

A Type-2 Incident Management Tem is on scene and will take over command of the fire tomorrow.

Fire is presumed to be lightning caused.

Location:  Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, approximately five miles NW of the intersection of U.S. 395 and CA State Route 108.  N38 degrees, 21' 17.28" W119 degrees, 32' 9.23", T.6N, R.22.E. Section 23.
